Story / Motivation
The control module is the basis for the LINEAR and the DIFFUSE module. It is supplied with 24V from the fusebox. Inside is a radio-controlled board that allows you to control luminaires and scenes independently.
Lighting design which supports flexibility of room scenarios, interior and furniture is a challenge. Normally this requires many different luminaire types and locations, including electrical infrastructure.
In contrast our concept reduces it to three basic types of light modules: Linear, diffuse and spot. By combining these, almost any lighting task can be fulfilled.
The technical complexity and their repair is bundled into few units. These are flexibly supplied with 24V low voltage, and a radio control system is designed to allow the lighting modules to be conveniently integrated into various room scenes, regardless of where they are used.
Linked to the overall design concept, modularity is achieved through formal reduction to the round tube with the system diameter of 28mm. An ideal integration is provided by the connector to the furniture. The focus is on a simple, yet functionally strong solution that can be self made. Proprietary components were avoided. Modularity and changeability should also be visible in the design: A perforated sheet as a carrier material, symbolically filled with light-emitting components and formed into a tube.
